The Institute of International Studies has been offering spring and summer programmes.  The programmes are for students interested in learning the culture and history of Prague, and social political issues in Europe.  Check out their previous programmes to learn more about the school and the academic experiences of past alumni. The NUI Galway International Summer School offers a range of courses in Irish Studies, Education in Ireland, Irish Language, Geology, Ecology and Archaeology. Students are exposed to Irish culture and history both inside and outside the classroom. A fee is required.

The Middlebury Italian School is a summer intensive-immersion program in Italian for pure beginners to advanced level students. Students who want to improve their Italian (beginner to advanced levels) can apply to the 7-Week non-degree program and earn 9 credit-hours (3 Middlebury units of credit) in one summer. A fee is required.

The University of Chicago Data and Policy Summer Scholar Program provides an unique opportunity for top global undergraduate and graduate students to gain a foundation in data analytics, policy research and professional development. There are 2 programs to be offered virtually: 1) Data and Policy Summer Scholars (DPSS), a 7-week’s program for students with little coding experience to learn data analytics skills to conduct policy research. 2) PKU-UChicago International Policy Action Lab (IPAL), a 3-week program for students to learn applied econometrics to tackle pressing international policy research topics. The Enterprise and the Environment Summer School is designed, delivered and managed within the University of Oxford. It is a programme intended for undergraduates, as well as recent graduates and young professionals passionate about leading environmental change.  A fee is required.

This program is a collaboration between the University of British Columbia, BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital & Health Care Centre.  The program aims to foster research awareness and interest for undergraduate and medical students. A fee is required.

The United Nations Summer Study (UNSS) program, offered by The New School’s Graduate Program in International Affairs, puts graduate and undergraduate students on the ground in the United Nations and in New York City. Unlike other UN study programs, UNSS takes you beyond a narrow focus on security and diplomacy to investigate development, human rights, humanitarian action, peacekeeping and peacebuilding, and environmental and reform issues. UNSS coursework prepares you to understand and engage with contemporary issues, policies, and debates in international affairs. UNSS practicums, not found in any other UN summer program, enable you to gain hands-on experience in the UN system. A fee is required.
