This is  an initiative to increase the job-readiness of students registered in STEM or business programs at Canadian post-secondary institutions.

The program consists of two components: co-op wage subsidies to a maximum of $7,000 and curricula enhancements to better align biotechnology programs at post-secondary institutions with the needs of Canada’s bio-economy.

Wage subsidies are available to all employers who are creating a work integrated learning opportunity and who meet the program criteria. Employers can hire STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) or business students from any post-secondary institutions across Canada through BioTalent Canada’s Student Work Placement Program.

As a student (15-30 of age), you should approach potential employers to apply for the funding to create job opportunities for you.  Application period: December to February

For over 20 years Eco Canada has been connecting environmental employers and skilled junior talent through employment programs that offer wage subsidies of up to $15,000 to drive valuable on-the-job work experience and essential skills training.  Programs: Co-op Student Placement, Youth Employment Placements, Immigrant Bridging Placement.  Must be a Canadian citizen or PR.

The Sustainability ASR Grant was created to promote applied student research (ASR) that will address and help overcome McGill sustainability challenges while empowering undergraduates’ research skills. The Sustainability ASR Grant will support the areas of need in the McGill downtown and Macdonald campuses.

Ce programme vise à assurer l’attractivité des territoires et le dynamisme du secteur bioalimentaire sur l’ensemble des territoires du Québec. L’aide financière accordée peut atteindre un maximum de 40 % des dépenses admissibles, jusqu’à concurrence de 20 000 $ par entreprise pour la durée du Programme.  Date limite: juillet.
